Welcome to PACE - Patient Advocacy & Caregiver Empowerment

Helping Organizations Support Family Caregivers

Caregiving isn’t a personal issue. It’s a workforce operations issue, a leadership issue, a financial drain, and a compliance risk. When caregiving isn’t managed, companies pay the bill in silence.

We understand caregivers. We understand the business impact of caregiving. We solve expensive human problems efficiently and compassionately.

How PACE Came to Be

PACE was born from my beloved Gram’s negative healthcare experience in her final chapter of life and my mother’s subsequent devastating caregiving experience, which was was so painful to watch. In advocating for Gram, I realized that along with being a social worker, I am an ADVOCATE for the people I work for. Even more, what I saw since I had worked in the healthcare system had frustrated me because I felt we could do more in every setting I was in. Yet, money and profits get in the way. I built PACE to help caregivers & patients in the healthcare system and at work.

About Tiffany Matthews, Your Healthcare BFF

Just a Bit About Me

Tiffany Matthews is known for her passion & dedication to improving patient care and supporting caregivers. She has been in healthcare since 1995 and healthcare since 1998.

Her journey to opening PACE began in the most personal of ways—watching her mother break under the weight of caregiving for her beloved Gram at end-of-life AND caring for her daughter with 2 rare spinal conditions.

Watching her Gram suffer a negative healthcare experience in her final chapter of life, her mother’s devastating caregiving journey, and her expertise in healthcare & social work ignited a spark in Tiffany, drawing her into the world of healthcare & patient advocacy. She recognized early on the significant challenges faced by both caregivers and patients, driving her to find ways to help them when trying to get good healthcare.

She also realized that the best way to help caregivers is to help them at work and in the healthcare system. Those organizations are uniquely capable of helpings the caregivers that work for them and healthcare can assist caregivers navigating the system (which helps patients & families, too!).

This isn’t just work for her, this is personal. She never wants to see another family deal with what hers had to in the healthcare system & with caregiving.
